In her newest novel, No Time to Wave Goodbye, the author returns to the Cappadora family from The Deep End of the Ocean.  It is 22 years after the abduction of 3-year-old Ben, who is now married with a baby girl.  Kerry is studying to be an opera singer, and Vincent has emerged from a troubled adolescence to become a filmmaker with an acclaimed documentary about abduction.  Just as the family is about to celebrate Vincent’s success, it is cast back into the past, revisiting the worst moment of their lives.
