Where Memories Lie by Deborah Crombie ($24.95).  A priceless heirloom and a murder long hidden send Scotland Yard detectives Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James in search of a ruthless killer in this latest addition to this award-winning mystery series.   

Cold in Hand by John Harvey ($26) brings back detective Charlie Resnick.  Along with his partner Lynn Kellogg, Resnick is drawn into a web of deceit and betrayal, putting them both in mortal danger.  The Resnick novels are some of the best police procedurals written today. 

Of special interest are two mysteries by New England writers William Tapply and Archie Mayor.  Tapply’s novel Hell Bent ($24.95), featuring Brady Coyne, is notable for fine writing and intricate plotting, and Mayor’s The Catch ($24.95) is a great story of pursuit set in Vermont.
